A consumable goods manufacturer was concerned with the geographic origin of a sourced ingredient, as its claimed country of origin was an important factor in consumer choice.
Working with the client’s manufacturing team, our personnel developed an isotope-based multivariate statistical tool to sample, analyze and classify the geographic origin of inbound ingredients prior to manufacturing.
The tool reduces legal risk and reputational damage from mislabeling ingredients and making false claims regarding the client’s flagship product.
