IP Theft: Competing with my Employer
Our client, a US-based manufacturer, suspected a senior scientist in their R&D function was being less than discreet with some of their proprietary and confidential work. Starting with an in-depth background investigation of the employee, The Intelligence Group was able to determine that he had set up a business in his spouse's name more than one year prior. During the ensuing 12 months, he and his spouse were able to gain a US Government contract as a woman-owned, minority business, and were competing with his present employer using the employer's technology. Our findings allowed our client to consider criminal and civil strategies to enforce their IP protections.
